And why people felt compelled, at one point in the world’s history, to drag their tea things out onto the lawn and summon the photographer. But seriously, it’s really all about the tea. And collecting--the hunt, the excitement, the quest, the accumulation. And the fashions, and the ways of being, the rituals and customs that have slipped away. But really, when you get right down to it, it’s all about the tea.
